1998 Coleman Sun Ridge roof gasket

I just bought a 98 Coleman pop up with the abs roof that is in great shape with no roof cracks or problems. The roof gasket is missing so I need a replacement. I called a local dealer that quoted me $10 to $11 a foot. I need to know if this seal can be bought somewhere other than the dealer. I can do the install myself.

RE: 2005 Avalanche 1500/4x4 Z-71

By the specs you are ok but in real life towing you may not like this combo. The rear end ratio of your truck will be the biggest factor. There are others on this forum that will be able to tell you in more detail why you wont be happy. Good luck

RE: To end the issue of 2wd vs. 4wd!!!

If Supercharged would of taken the money he had spent on supercharging his little 2wd truck he could of bought a big boy truck with 4wd. He is probably still making credit card payments on his little supercharger. I bet in person he is a SUPER nice guy.

RE: I cant believe it

I would wait until christmas day, get a nice cold beer, a big cigar , and drain your black water tank into the nearest storm drain by his house and when he comes out to see what you are doing tell him "merry christmas the shatter was full". If you have ever seen christmas vacation you know where I am coming from.

RE: Ideas on outdoor Grilling methods

Without going into a long drawn out reply, get a Weber q and you will be happy. I have 3 grills that are all gas and it depends on what I am cooking to determine which one I use.

Jayco 32bhds master bedroom leg room issue

I am looking a the Jayfligt 31bhds and 32bhds. I would much rather have the 32bhds because of the entertainment center, side entry into bathroom, and the rear bunk area. The problem with it is that I am 6'1" and when I lay down on the bed my head is only a couple inches from the headboard and my toes bump the back of the entertainment center. This will kill the chance of getting this camper unless something can be done to crate more legroom in the master. Has anyone ran into this problem and done modifications to correct it. I looked closely at one yesterday and my carpenter buddy thouht he could re work the entertainment center and move the right hand side pocket door to create roughly 6 inches more leg room. I dont like the idea of buying a new trailer and tearing it apart but I might have to. Any input would be helpful. Thanks

% off of msrp on new 2008 travel trailer

I have found quite a few new 2008 Jayco Eagle 304bhds travel trailers for sale on the internet. My question is what extra percentage of discount should I expect to get for buying a 08 instead of a 09? I dont care if is a non current model because I will be keeping it for a long time.

RE: Newbie needs info on new Airstream

It depends on what kind of price you are getting on the unit to start with. You might be able to get all of that stuff for free if you talk real nice to them and tell them if they dont throw it in that the next dealer will. With you being so far away from the dealer I would think that the purchase will be the only time that you deal with them so go for the throat. That is just my 2 cents.

RE: Seasonal Site Folks.....come on in!

We just secured a seasonal site at our favorite campground today. We are very excited for spring to come so we can get our camper set up on it and start enjoying it. We have been on a waiting list for three years and just by luck the biggest site in the campground opened up. We will be able to pull the camper off the site to go on our 1 to 2 week vacations. I can honestly say that I will miss the adventure of packing up and traveling to different campgrounds but with our busy schedules it will certainly be nice to leave the house and be relaxing 1/2 hour later. When we get everything set up I will post pictures.

RE: one for the weight police

The simple fact is that the manufacturers put tow ratings on a vehicle as a guideline which can be exceeded and cause no problem to the vehicle at all. I would much rather be on the same highway with a driver that was overweight and respected that he was opposed to a driver that was underweight and over confident.

Jayco or Rockwood?

This question is for people that have owned a Jayco and switched to a Rockwood or the other way around? If you have please explain why you liked one better than the other. I am mainly looking for differeces in overall quality, and durability. I have a Jayco Jayflight now and I really like it due to the fact that it has been camped in for three years and after roughly 120 nights of use everything still looks and works like new. The specific Rockwood that I am interested in is the singnature ultra light 8318ss. Jayco has almost the same floorplan in the Eagle superlite series but it looks life the sofa in the Jayco is smaller which is a big issue for me. The Rockwood has an actual couch that woul be much better for us. Any info would help. Thanks

RE: Portable Gas Grill

I use a Holland Companion that I would not trade for any other grill. It takes longer to cook with it but the results are well worth it. The only meat that I prefer to grill on my large weber gas grill is steak, because the portable does not get hot enough to sear the meat.

RE: No more RV ladders?

I have seen people fall off of the steps of there campers. I think they should outlaw them to avoid lawsuits. Just kiddin but that is how ridiculous it sounds to outlaw ladders on rvs. If you are not talented enough to climb a ladder then stay off it!!!

RE: Jay Flight G2 32BHDS

No way. I love that trailer but would not even want to pull it with my 3/4 Suburban. I think the dry weight is around 7500lbs which would put you around 8500lbs ready to travel. The length and height will also hurt you.

RE: Accident and Claim adjuster low ball appraisal

I just saw a trailer like yours, actually I think it is a couple feet longer with a sale price of $8500.00. I think that the offer of $12000.00 is more than fair and you should be happy with it. I would not doubt at all that you could take the settlement of $12000.00 and find a clean unit just like yours for alot less. In todays market in reality the adjuster is offering you high retail for your unit.

RE: "Cocktail Hour" What's your favorite?

Busch lite, Miller lite, Budweiser, Mgd, Sam Adams "any flavor", Bud select, Miller High Life, Steigl made in Austria "my personal favorite but expensive", and if I dont happen to have any of those particular beers on hand I will settle for any other beer that is cold and plentiful.

RE: Pricing For Older New Pup

I know this sounds far fetched but if I were in your shoes I would offer them $9000.00. This would be a good starting point for you. They have had it for quite a while and I would imagine they would love to see it go. I would contact the sales manager and make that offer and tell them to sleep on it and let you know. Many buyers let the dealer take control right off the bat. Stick to your guns and I bet that you will get a better deal than you think is possible.
